In this blog post you get to see: Claire in overalls (which
is the cutest thing ever!); our old/new table and chairs that are perfect for
this apartment; Claire’s new play place in the house; and a Pinterest-worthy
project I did with Mason jars. We’ve been staying busy going on walks to feed
the ducks, taking trips to the library, watching movies on our laptop and
trying new recipes. We think about friends and family often and are thankful
for computers and cellphones, which make it possible for us to stay in touch
with everyone. Love, Lisa, Skyler and Claire

Discovering
She found the top of a baby bottle and got a kick out of sucking on it.
Look at her little ruffled hair!
It rained a lot this past week.
I don't know what she was planning to do after she stepped into it!
She played with my nail polish for a good chunk of time taking them in and out of the bag over and over again. It made me a bit nervous with the potential of one breaking, but she's pretty gentle with things and I was glad she was content doing something different than the usual.
She found a new game of playing with my shoe.

Summer Time
Hello family and friends! If you haven’t heard yet, we are
finally unpacking because we got the things from our U-box. While going through
Claire’s clothes, even though she’s past her first birthday, she’s moving up
into 12 month old sizes. We’re still using a lot of clothes that are gently
used or brand new that were gifts; thanks mostly goes to the Grandmas J Claire is so close to
walking. I’m sure I’ve seen her take a few steps on her own before she crouches
back down again. She’s also silly and “walks” on her knees, especially when she
has something in her hand. She’s getting lots and lots of teeth! And is eating
almost everything we eat. We have a bedtime routine now where an alarm goes off
on my cellphone and then we brush her teeth, change her diaper and tuck her
into her crib. Sometimes I sing a primary song. Most nights she just smiles
back when we say “good night” and close the door. What a sweet heart! Sometimes
we forget we’re so far away from friends and family. We think of you often. So
many of the things we have remind us of you, like the recipe books I use,
pictures from our wedding or the toys and clothes that have been given to
Claire. We don’t plan on having internet at home for a while, but you can
expect us to be on most Tuesdays and Sundays. You can always call us or send us
a good old fashioned letter! Love you-Lisa, Skyler and Claire
Opening Grandma's package
Didn't even have to try-swimsuit model!
Sunday morning-I think it was on Father's Day-so cute!
Playing at the library.
Building together.
Crazy picture moment and my camera happened to by nearby. She crossed her legs on her own and everything!
Notice that the biscuits are on the table and the zebra is on the plate?
A taste of beautiful campus for ya.
Our Sweetie Pie on the Fourth of July.
