Welcome Julie!

Well, Julie is here! She's a little cutie. Sometimes I like to call her Julie Bean. As you'd guess we've been getting used to having a newborn around, trying to keep her satisfied with nursing and holding her and such. The kids have had some cute moments, like when they first tried giving her a binky to stop her from fussing. But what's really made it hard is that Todd, Claire and I have been playing tag team getting sick. I think we're finally over everything and we're looking forward to things like taking walks together, getting back into a routine with attending church, and seeing friends more often. Thank you for all of your congratulations and support. We're now a family of FIVE. So crazy!
The first time Todd and Claire met Julie. Both of them were being needy, so it was a brief but sweet.
Todd cuddled with me on the bed and loved the buttons that made it go up and down, as well as the buttons on my bedside table.

I don't know why they only put her last name on the paper, but there she is!

In some ways it was nice to have so much quiet time with Julie in the hospital. She's good at nursing and I was glad that my recovery seemed to be going well.

 First time holding baby Julie.

Todd helping Skyler to housework. I have to say, Skyler has amazed me over and over again these last two weeks with how much he's been able to juggle housework, food, the kids, and his usual schooling.

It's interesting using Claire's old baby things for Julie. I've slipped up quite a bit and have called her Claire.
She has long fingers that are usually relaxed; she doesn't hold them in a tight fist like Claire did as a newborn. She also has long nails that look very feminine.
 Here she's holding my thumb
 The girls!

 Bows!
