Birthday

We finally took the plunge and planted our little plants outside. They've survived a week so far!
The kids loved delaying bed time to be outside with Dad and playing with water!

Skyler decorated the house for my birthday, just for me.
 Our neighbors gave me flowers

Like last year, I went on a shopping spree. Out with the old, in with the new.
My shoes literally had a hole in the bottom! I was walking on wet grass and could feel my sock getting wet!
 26!
Our first time doing hot dogs at our new favorite spot. We learned from experience that we needed lighter fluid and bug spray :)

I know, another cardboard project. It's a common medium around here.
rubber bands on a bread pan, simple, yet fun
I listened to two musicals during nap time to paint polk-a-dots on my shorts. I'm probably not going to do it again, because it took forever. They turned out really cute though!

Our new favorite kid show on Amazon Prime is Tumble Leaf. This is one of the characters. His name is Stick. Here's a trailer for it:

Bean Bag Toss

We made this for a ward potluck at the park. I turned our blender box inside out and got the monster idea from Pinterest. And gasp, I bought the bean bags, which are one of the first things I learned how to sew, but we had short notice.

Out and about

Waking up from a nap

Went to our first yard sale of the year and found us an Our Generation doll (slightly smaller than American Girl dolls sold at Target).
An old makeup compact was perfect for her.

This was the best picture from Mother's Day. This is what it's like when they both want me and my phone at the same time.
Found this lying on the carpet and thought it was an awesome coincidence. Now it's my phone wallpaper
Todd and Claire waiting for Skyler to drive home. Sometimes in the morning it helps them to wave goodbye out this window. So cute.
It's fun to have friends that have a sand box

Our first time getting dinosaurs out of ice. Claire was thrilled. Todd enjoyed it but acted a little more calm about it.

Hanging out at Skyler's work desk for a little while.

First Recital

Beautiful day outside of the Natural History Museum.
It was pretty novel for the kids to climb on these rocks

Ready to go to the museum
 Brother and sister. So cute!

This is super blury, but it's the program from a dance concert at OU that my friend was in. She danced to the song Bolero, which is a song that I recognize. The theme of the dance was physics, so I wished Skyler could have seen it! It was nice to go to a concert, and to go to something without kids.

See this dress on display where the concert was, reminded me of Angela since she has drawn period clothing like this on animal characters.

This is a statue that I like outside of the OU Reynolds concert hall.

Claire practicing her picture taking skills

Claire after her first ballet recital! Her cheeks are so rosy because she was running around with her friends afterwards. It was a nice little event and Skyler was able to come. We had fun celebrating her successes.
