18 month checkup

Todd and Claire sometimes will share a chair together.

Done bathing Todd in the kid's bathroom

We did this activity out of the Friend magazine where you make a palm leaf out of several hands traced onto green paper, cut out and glued onto a Popsicle stick.

At the library we stumbled across Discovery Time for toddlers where they have all of these sensory and creative stations. Perfect for Todd and Claire! Todd's favorite was the rice table and Claire's was the craft table where they had stuff to make shamrock crowns.
Pounding golf tees into Styrofoam with wooden spoons is pretty creative, and fun!

They had this gigantic box to draw inside and outside of. The boxes in the background are taped shut with bright colored duct tape to make buildings out of.
Claire loved being able to use a stapler.

Waiting around during Todd's 18 month check up. He's healthy and developing normally. He can say about ten words now, one of my favorite being "Go, go, go , go!" I packed plenty of toys and Todd kept himself busy opening and closing the cupboards. The I-Spy wand reminds me of the one we had when we were kids, but it was Where's Waldo. Good times, right?

Spring has Sprung

Todd was being really quiet in the kitchen. I came in and he was sitting here. He usually likes opening and closing cupboards in the kitchen but hardly ever takes anything out, which is nice.
Todd didn't have the energy to stay awake, let alone eat, at lunch time today. Claire and I thought it was so cute watching him fall asleep. He was sucking on his fingers, but his hand slowly slipped out of his mouth and onto his chest.
Claire and Todd tried some salt and pepper chips. I was surprised that they liked them. They are like Skyler, they love chips!
My camera can't capture Todd's eyelashes very well, but they're long and handsome
One day all of the trees were covered in white blossoms. I think Spring has come really early this year! I really enjoyed seeing them while driving around town and listening to the Piano Guys CD.
Claire was so cute drinking a smoothie and sitting like this, before ballet class.

Claire made the heart with the face and this dinosaur all by herself! I wasn't sitting at the table playing play dough with her and Todd, and she surprised me with her creations.
After church it was beautiful outside. I had leftover food from a meeting, so we got Grandma Quinn's picnic blanket out of the trunk of the car and had an impromptu picnic! I also took the opportunity to take pictures of the kids outside.

I love putting Claire's hair in a bun and seeing all of her curly wispies.

We are thrilled that our tomato plants are growing. We planted them about a week ago. This is our first time planting anything with the kids and of course Skyler is super excited about growing something. We have dreams of someday having a big garden and a mini orchard.
Here is Todd sitting on his basket chair.
