Summer and Sickness are over

There aren't very many pictures this week because we just finished recovering from Skyler and I being sick. Thankfully Todd and Claire were fine. School started in the public schools last Thursday and yesterday OU started school. Skyler has been going to school/work all summer, so the only difference for us is more traffic and more tutoring hours so Skyler can earn some extra money. I plan on him being gone for more hours of the day. I started a babysitting/nannying job that's one or two days a week. The two boys are very sweet and Todd and Claire enjoyed playing with them.

Claire was giddy about standing on her stool at the sink and helping me wash dishes yesterday. We made a good team and got all of them done! then we watched a movie.
 Sunday afternoon.
This is what Todd was doing when we washed dishes.

He looks pretty chill/tired here

We tried this fun recipe out of the Friend magazine today

Birthday Boy

Last year we were trying to wrap our heads around the fact that we just had a baby in the car! It's just too easy to start the tradition of getting Todd something every year that has to do with a car. So, for his first birthday he got a red car that he can crawl around with and stuff things into the trunk or into the driver seats. I also got him a Richard Scarry car board book. And he got a chewy baby toy. Thank you both Grandma's for your presents as well. He loves all of them. Happy Birthday Todd, we love you!!!

He loved his red velvet cake with chocolate icing.

He also really liked the green beans we gave him before the cake!

This shirt on Todd makes him even more cute!

Washington and Back

We loved our stay in Washington. We love our families! Thanks for making it a great time! We love you.

Rodeback family reunion. Some of our favorite activities were the talent show, hay ride around the farm, and watching Big Hero 6 outside. Skyler made some delicious donuts among other goodies that we enjoyed. Claire loved playing with cousins outside on the bikes and running around. Todd mostly wanted to be fed and held. It's hard for a crawler when you're outside a lot, talking to people, and there are older kids running around.

We got to meet Chase's fiance, Rebekah. She fit right in with everyone; welcome to the family!

We enjoyed Grandma Quinn's new kitchen!

Michelle came from Seattle to spend time with us. The only picture I have of her, is her helping Mom out with an ear plug project! She had her camera, so I didn't bother taking very many pictures on my phone. We enjoyed going to church together, walking, celebrating Todd's birthday early and playing with the kids on the floor. After she left, we went on a shopping spree with Grandma and later, Skyler and I went on a date.
Todd got lucky and had a seat of his own to sleep on.
Claire enjoying her new umbrella and Frozen rain boots.

Todd likes to swing. Claire likes swinging too, but is funny because she'll ask to go fast, but when she does, she looks as if she doesn't like it or is struggling between either crying or laughing.
