Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. I decided to purposefully not take any pictures of what we did so that I could fully embrace the holiday and time with friends. We got adventurous this year and went boating at the end of the day, which was a little crazy when it rained on us and the kids were up way past their bedtime. But, we saw a rainbow, and I think the kids enjoyed being on the lake and seeing the boats. Rainbow fish crackers, a banana, baseball cap and glow sticks made it even more fun for them. It actually looked really cool to see rain clouds come through, then see the lake calm down and the bright sun, a pink sunset, and then watch fireworks go off and see thunder in the big, puffy, distant clouds. Quite the show!
We're trying something different and using visuals, goals and a bribe. We'll see what happens. Claire colored this herself and already picked out a specific restaurant.
 I love sleeping babies!
Claire strapped my sandals to her feet.
Todd likes to get into the diaper bag.
Claire likes to be right by his side.
These are my favorite sandals. I bought them for my graduation from BYUI and they had their last day on the 4th of July this year. They were starting to get holes in the fabric on the heel part.We went boating with some friends and the soles died from all of the water exposure. I had to take a picture of them before I threw them away.
Grandma sent Claire a new dress. Can you name all of the My Little Ponies?
Todd has taken up the kazoo. He also likes to play the keyboard, drum, tambourine, and shaker egg!
Look at those little toes! He can pull himself into a standing position with help and go from a crawling position to having his hands and feet on the ground with his bum in the air.
This is a picture of the one curl on the top of Todd's head. After coming back from the splash pad and taking a nap, he had this curl for several days. So cute!
These are our friends that just moved, and it is too quiet without them. Claire had so much fun playing with them. We would often have dance parties and here they are playing instruments.
