Because I Love It

I had to share this candy cake that I made for our trunk-or-treat coming up.I love it! I don't often get to finishing something all the way through, or do exactly what I dreamed up and make it happen so I have a lot of pride for this candy cake! I love creating, it gives me a high. And you're right if you guess that I love Pinterest.

    Awesome! How was the candy attached? i.e. how did the trunk-or-treaters take off a piece (I'm picturing hot glue, and the candy not being distributed very well). Looks amazing! -Lauren

    Hi Lauren! I originally designed it for a trunk-or-treat, where it would be easy for the kids to come up and pull off the candy. We ended up using it Halloween night and it wasn't very graceful having groups of children try to reach through the door and take the candy off. I used small dots of hot glue on poster board. The candy ripped off easily, bringing a little piece of poster board and glue on the wrapper of the candy. Another idea I saw on Pinterest is to make a candy cake for a sweet sixteen birthday.
